Whitehall Lane Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley 2008
Don says: "Dark purple color, a gutsy mouthfeel and densely-packed fruit all mark this as a significant Cabernet. The aromas are a rich, forthcoming and well-defined mix of blackberry, whortleberry, pomegranate syrup, Cassis, toast, sumac berry and dark earth scents. It is almost juicy-rich on the palate, with vibrant zest and impressive tannic grip in contrast to its deep flavors of purple plum, blackberry, ripe cherry, red currant, pomegranate, vanilla and rich foresty spice. The finish is long and shows an outstanding interplay of palate-drenching flavor and tannic grip.
