Notes on the 2007 Brewer Clifton Chardonnay Santa Rita Hills 93 Pts $40.95 12 Bottle Limit : WINE ADVOCATE REVIEW: 93 POINTS The largest cuvee is the 2007 Chardonnay Santa Rita Hills (1,200 cases). This light gold-colored effort reveals no evidence of wood aging, offering terrific acidity as well as a distinctive subtle earthiness underlying the abundant display of honeysuckle, marmalade, and lemon blossom-like fruit. Deep, full-bodied, vibrant, and alive, it should drink well for 7-10 years.

NVWE NOTES: This vibrant Chardonay pours-forth white peach, beeswax, preserved lemon and baking spice aromas along with suggestions of white chocolate and Mandarin orange. It is buoyantly fresh and downright delicious on the palate, where flavors of Meyer lemon zest, white peach, Fuji apple and dried orange peel contrast its mineral undertones. The fruit-packed finish of Fuji apple, white peach, Meyer lemon zest and dried orange peel is luxurious, yet racy, refreshing and fully dry. 1,200 cases produced.
