NVWE NOTES: The nose of this well-evolved Sauvignon Blank is a trace low-key at first, but it is immediately notable for its richness and the subtle layering of its dried golden fig, pineapple souffle, vanilla custard, preserved lemon, honeysuckle, marzipan, toasted coconut and mineral scents. The wine is considerably more forthcoming on the palate, where preserved lemon, dried pineapple, vanilla-coconut custard, baking spices, toast and a hint of key lime pie all find a lingering harmony. Built for classically-sauced seafood, chicken or veal entrees, it is a rich and satisfying treat all by itself. Blended with 3% Semillon. 220 cases produced.
