WINEMAKER NOTES: Sweetly ripe and immediately appealing, the nose of this neatly crafted and well-priced bottling layers dark cherry, blackberry and black currant fruit scents with notes of sweet vanilla and coffee-toffee. That cherry-berry fruit is as evident on the palate and in the lingering finish, although at the end, dark forest-floor spice, coffee toffee and vanilla elements pump up the wines savory expressions. If this is a lovely and satisfying dinner wine already, it will grow even more graceful if given another twelve months for the fruit to fully dominate the oak.
