BATON SONOMA COAST CHARDONNAY 2007 NVWE NOTES: This already appealing Chardonnay offers very pretty white peach, Green Gage plum, Fuji apple, vanilla cream wafer and toasted coconut scents in a fine harmony. It is both palate-coating and attractively zesty in the mouth, where hints of grapefruit join the apple, peach and vanilla which dominate through the lingering finish. It is quite delicious now, but despite it youthful charms it should be even complex and satisfying by Fall and will peak six months or so after that. It is a notable bargain.
