Notes on the Bohemian Vineyard Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2007 : NVWE NOTES: This is a wine of pure fruit, lovely elegance and youthful aromas which expand to reveal layers of Amarena cherries, red raspberries, coriander seed, roasted grain, pink peppercorns and hints of yellow rose. It is sleek and polished on the palate, with bright fruit acidity, hints of smoky tobacconist-shop spice and delicious red plum and red raspberry flavors. The finish is silky, long and quietly zesty, with lingering impressions of cherry, raspberry, roasted cereal grains and coriander. Although it is certain to improve for eighteen to thirty months, this wine should be a graceful and pretty dinner wine during the coming winter. 250 cases produced from the Cleary Ranch in Freestone.

WINEMAKER NOTES: First Place Wine 2009 Pinot Shootout - 96 points! The 2007 Bohemian Vineyard Pinot Noir shows beautiful purity, with multiple layers of red and black fruits followed by a hint of dried herbs and earth. The wine enters gently onto the palate but then explodes with fruit. Its oak, fruit, and alcohol components are well-balanced, giving it a lingering mouth-feel, and its solid acid backbone carries the wine to a delightful finish. Imagine the possibilities once this wine has a year of bottle age!
