WINE ENTHUSIAST REVIEW: 90 POINTS A little ungainly now due to the tannins, which are hard and overpower the fruit. Not quite up there with the fine 2005, but still a very good Cabernet Sauvignon, with pleasant blackberry, currant and cedar flavors. The vineyard is in the southerly Oak Knoll area. - S.H. (6/1/2010) NVWE NOTES: Bright and well defined, the aromas of this fine Cabernet mix elements of dark cherry, prune plum, vanilla, espresso beans and forest earth into a rich and elegant melange. It is medium-rich in body, but palate-coating and full of grip. The flavors fan-out as a lingering and elegant blend of dark cherry, plum, toast, vanilla, coffee and baking spices, the richness of which pushes any tannic coarseness into the background. A delicious wine already, it will get better for three years, and it should already make a lovely accompaniment to sauced meats. 420 cases produced.
