WINE ENTHUSIAST REVIEW: 94 POINTS Fresh, fruity and acidic, this young Pinot Noir wants some time in the cellar. It’s brilliantly structured, with a core of black cherries, cola, rhubarbs, pomegranates, mushrooms and spices, with rich notes of smoke, cocoa and cedar. Silky and complex, and should age through 2013. - S.H. (12/1/2009)

NVWE NOTES: Darkly oaky, ripe and just a bit floral, the aromas of this complex Pinot layer smoke, bouillon and hints of black pepper with dark cherry, mocha and some black tea notes. The wine proves less tightly structured than expected on the palate and has both forthcoming fruit and a supple mouth-feel. The bouillon and tea notes follow through to the finish, but as spice accents to the wines primary flavors of ripe strawberry, dark cherry and pepper. Certain to improve for two years, it is already a rich and satisfying wine, which should be a fine companion to a dark beef roast. 165 cases produced.
