Notes on the Foggy Bridge Chardonnay Geo San Francisco Bay 2007 : WINEMAKER NOTES: The grapes were hand picked at optimum maturity in early morning and gently pressed to extract the free run juice. Cool fermentation in a combination of new and neutral French, American and Hungarian Oak barrels contributed soft vanillin notes to the aroma and creaminess to the palate. Malolactic fermentation occurred in 50% of the wine, adding complexity and a touch of buttered popcorn to the nose and palate. Only 190 cases produced.
