Notes on the Lewis Cellars Napa Valley Chardonnay 2007 : NVWE NOTES: Extremely deep and initially reserved, but all-together seductive, the aromas of this gorgeous Chardonnay are a luxurious mix of stone fruits, apples, preserved lemon, vanilla butter cream and nutmeg-rich custard scents. There is a wonderful silkiness on the palate and enormous body, as flavors of baked apple, peach cobbler, coconut-vanilla custard and minerals move in layers through an opulent and lingering finish. Perhaps even better in 12-18 months, it is much too good to miss already. Unfined and unfiltered, 900 cases produced.
