Notes on the Lewis Cellars Sonoma Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2007 95 Pts Wine Spectator : NVWE NOTES: This one is very forward and very lovely, with fruit enough to dwarf its opulent oaky spice, as loads of Fuji apple and yellow peach meld with nutmeg, pineapple souffle and vanilla cream wafer scents in an intoxicating melange. It is extremely plush in body, but has rich mineral undercurrents and fine fruit acidity to keep it perfectly balanced. The finish is extremely long and packed with deep peach, apple, mineral, tarte tatin and vanilla cream flavors. There is a wonderful harmony to everything and the wine appears ready to drink. Unfined and unfiltered, 1200 cases produced.
