NVWE NOTES: Forthcoming and gorgeously fruity, the nose of this voluptuous Pinot keeps a razor balance between fruity, savory and mineral scents. The aromas are of boysenberry and Amarena cherry, counter-pointed by notes of powdered sumac, bouillon, coriander seed, tobacconist-shop spice and dark forest earth. It is surprisingly elegant in mouth-feel, but proves as flavorful as anticipated on the palate and gives no impression either of overt jamminess or tart acidity to tip it off center. The finish is packed with fresh boysenberry and it's ultra-long, and although this is an intensely-flavorful wine, it is one that may have surprising elegance in 2-3 years. 5525 cases produced. WINEMAKER NOTES: Beautiful deep red and blue colors describe this opulent aromatic wine. Red nuances of sandalwood, cherry pie, currants, rhubarb and jaimaca are interwoven with hints of jasmine, Darjeeling tea, cocoa-powder, red-hot apples, holiday spice and cherry bark. The palate impressions are generous and envelopes your entire mouth in a suave and sultry manner. The finish is both elegant and full-bodied.
