NVWE NOTES: This is a decidedly rich example of an attractive Italian varietal that is seldom seen in our state. It offers aromas of honeydew melon, lemon blossom, green gage plum and honey, with gently savory undertones suggestive of nut husks or oats. The texture is plush and the flavors are as rich as expected, with honeydew and lemon cream in the foreground. There is a welcome lemony zest to the lingering and richly textured finish and some nut husk and mineral hints as well. This is a very appealing sipper, but it would be at its best with rich white-sauced pastas. 550 cases produced.
