Notes on the Pax Cuvee Christine Sonoma County Syrah 2005 : WINEMAKER NOTES: Deep purple-magenta, effusive crème du mure aromas dominate this spicy and massively rich smelling wine. The palate weight seems richer than the 2005 at the expense of the earth and stem spice that was so provocative in the 2005. This wine is altogether darker and seemingly riper, while the alcohol is pretty close to identical as the 2005. While the 2005 had a strong European character, this wine is all California!
