Issue: Jun 30, 2010 JL WINE ADVOCATE REVIEW: 94 POINTS The brilliant 2007 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard reveals lots of nectarine, honeysuckle, orange blossom, and citrus oil notes intertwined with good acidity, considerable minerality, and a full-bodied, fresh finish with no evidence of wood. NVWE NOTES: This is an aristocratically-gorgeous Chardonnay. The aromas are a wonderfully sophisticated melange of sweet apple, pear liqueur, lemon, toasted nut, nutmeggy custard and subtly floral scents. The wine is intense, yet skates gently across the palate, with a wonderfully lingering cascade of tarte tatin, pear, citrus, pineapple, toasted nut and vanilla cream flavors. The finish is long and pin-point balanced and everything about the wine is satisfying and classic. This one is worthy of the grandest dish you can prepare.
