Medium-light golden yellow color; attractive, youthful, floral, pear and honeydew melon aroma with notes of citrus, mineral, and honeysuckle; medium-full body; crisp, lemony, green apple and tropical fruit flavors; lingering aftertaste. Shows intense varietal fruit. Bottled with a screw cap and is very appealing to drink now. Very highly recommended. 14.2% alcohol; 20,000 cases; 0% barrel fermented (BF); 0% malolactic fermentation. California Grapevine June-July 2007

WINE ENTHUSIAST REVIEW: 92 POINTS Probably the most expensive Unoaked Chard out there, this is a stunning wine, showing the laserlike purity and bright acids that this northwestern part of the Highlands coaxes from the grapes. The brilliantly illuminated flavors range from limes and kiwis to green apples, peaches and guavas. The finish is dry, but with a honeyed unctuousness that could be a touch of botrytis. –S.H.

NVWE NOTES: The aromas of this delightful wine are at once fresh, ripe, structured and clearly from the Santa Lucia Highlands. They are a complex mix of green apple, white peach and mineral scents, with hints of mango, Meyer lemon and clove. The wine is very plush on the palate and cuttingly zesty, with mineral-laced flavors of white peach and apple. It is a delicious sipper, but should be even better with summers spicy grilled chicken and fish dishes.
