NVWE NOTES: This Pomerol-esque blend has a soft edge, plenty of flavor and very appealing zest. It offers aromas of red plums, dried cranberries and hints of violet and rose over a backdrop of vanilla, sandalwood and forest bark. It is almost perky on the palate, where its ripe plum and dry cranberry fruit themes are accented by more savory flavors of sandalwood and Black Currant tea. The finish is quite long and neatly retains the wines character, zest and intensity. This one should companion dishes as diverse as Grilled Chicken with Spanish Rice, Barbecued Pork Roast or cheese-filled Pastry Roulades. 200 cases produced.
