TANTARA CHARDONNAY TALLEY-RINCON ARROYO GRANDE 2005 Notes on the Tantara Chardonnay Talley-Rincon Arroyo Grande 2005 : WINE ADVOCATE REVIEW: 89 POINTS My favorite Tantara white is the light gold-colored 2005 Chardonnay Talley-Rincon Vineyard. Exhibiting the most complete mouthfeel, it reveals medium to full body along with good acidity, and hints of orange, lemon butter, and subtle oak in a restrained, but substantial format. NVWE NOTES: If youthfully firm, this beauty is already impressive for its focused scents of peach, apple, golden fig, honeysuckle and vanilla. The flavors are even more evolved than the aromas, showing a lovely harmony between its rich baked apple notes and less dominant flavors of peach, lemon custard and vanilla. The finish is rich and lingering, with a soft, but cutting zest that marks it as especially food-worthy. 123 cases produced.
