Notes on the Whitehall Lane Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2003 : NVWE NOTES: This wine is deep, sweet natured and seductive to the nose, where ripe dark cherry, prune plum, sandalwood, vanilla, hunters broth and forest floor scents join in a forward and appealing mix. On the palate, the wine is plush in body, soft in tannin and altogether satisfying, as flavors of dark berry, plum, cherry, sweet vanilla and bouillon are delivered in more or less equal intensity. The lingering finish reveals enough tannin to bring structure to the rich fruit and to suggest that another twelve to eighteen months improvement is likely. However, anyone tasting this fine Cabernet now may find that its present charms make the wait seem unnecessary. 9% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc & 4% Petite Verdot. 16,040 cases produced.

WINEMAKER NOTES: This Cabernet is an alluring blend with perfect balance between ripe fruit and restrained structure. It has attractive aromas of plum, currant, toasty oak and earth tones. This plush wine is loaded with flavors of blackberry, plum and cherry that linger well beyond the velvety finish. Enjoyable now, this wine also has the structure to make it a candidate for graceful aging through 2010.
