NVWE Notes: The Talley vineyards produced wonderful fruit in both 2016 and 2017, and here is ample evidence of the later. Firm and reserved, yet focused, concentrated and already super appealing, the aromas are a coiled mix of baked peach, tarte tatin, lemon cream pie, vanilla custard, baking-spice, nutmeg, toasted meringue and hazelnut, with just a suggestion of coconut milk in the background. All of these elements are replicated on the palate in a clearly youthful but classy, long-lingering display which rides on a creamy wave across the tongue. Expect improvement for at least three years.
