NVWE Notes: Super-rich yet extremely reserved, this tightly-coiled bottling needs extensive airing to fully present its opulent layers of fruit and spice. The aromas that are revealed are a luxurious medley of yellow and white peach, tarte tatin, preserved lemon, kumquat, toasted meringue, hazelnut and vanilla wafer scents. It is densely-packed and ultra-creamy on the palate, where baked peach, baked apple, apple skin, apricot, yellow rose, nougat, vanilla, nutmeg, baking-spice and meringue flavors create a plush, silky-textured, long-lingering and altogether seductive display. Certainly three years from its ultimate glory, it may well prove a great wine. 25 cases produced.
