NVWE Notes: This is a dry-finished Riesling with the richness to match flavorful entrees. The nose offers scents of fresh apple, white peach, un-cut pineapple, lime, jasmine, white pepper and a hint of coconut. It is richer than expected on the palate, where dried yellow peach, apricot, candied rose petal, “jolly rancher” apple candy, dried pineapple and Persian raisin take on a harder edge from a hint of oyster shell-like minerality. It is ready to enjoy and should prove a good match for pork chops baked with apples. 115 cases produced.
Dried lemon, chamomile, dried pineapple and seared orange rinds meet with a farmhouse-cider funk on the nose of this intriguing bottling. There's a tang of pink grapefruit on the palate, along with papaya and lemongrass notes and a touch of tonic water. M.K. 12/31/201
