Aromatic, elegant and forthcoming in pristinely focused fruit, the nose of this immediately attractive Carignan offers aromas of pomegranate syrup, hibiscus agua fresca, cranberry sauce, pink peppercorn, Schezuan peppercorn, black peppercorn, licorice root and dark forest earth. It is vibrantly fresh and gently tannic, yet is supple in texture and sleek in body. In the mouth it has piquant, lingering flavors of hibiscus, cranberry sauce, pomegranate, red raspberry, peppercorn and licorice root. Delicious and food-worthy now, if should grow more so over the next several years. Blended with 10% Mourvedre.
