This is an elegant, charming dinner wine that promises even more appeal for those who can give it some cellar-time. The nose offers focused aromas of red currant jam, sweet red cherry, baking spice, toffee and vanilla which grow in richness and elegance as the wine airs. It proves attractively gutsy yet delivers the same focused harmony on the palate, where although the mouth-feel is youthfully firm the flavors expand with airing to become a true reflection of the aromas. The finish is deliciously lingering and the wine should improve for another two years. 125 cases produced.
