This fine and clearly age-worthy Cabernet opens with aromas of dark cherry and dry red cherry, cassis, baking spice and hazelnut in a tightly coiled medley that rises above an evident tannic structure. The flavors are more forthcoming, with dark cherry, cassis, dark plum, blackberry, hazelnut tart, sweet tobacco and lots of baking spice in lingering evidence. The finish is well focused and the tannic grip suggests that full maturity is five or six years away and that the wine may well prove long-lived.
