2023 Boheme Pinot Noir English Hill Vineyard, Sonoma Coast
San Francisco Wine Panel Score 95+ Points
Young, broodingly fruity and savory rich, this is a tasty Pinot with a grander future. As the wine airs, the nose reveals a complex aromatic profile, beginning with aromas of Cherry Bounce liqueur, Bing cherry and boysenberry, harmoniously complimented by others of licorice root, file spice, dried herbs, toffee and rich forest-floor undercurrents. On the palate it is offers notably polished tannins, is appropriately zesty and delivers well focused flavors that are a medley of black raspberry, Bing cherry, root beer, file, clove, star anise and five spice impressions. The finish is firm in structure, lingering, food-worthy and already truly attractive, although the wine will certainly grow in dimension and overall appeal for at least least twelve or eighteen months. 374 cases produced.
