2020 Copia Cabernet Sauvignon Willow Creek District, Paso Robles
San Francisco Wine Panel Score 95+ Points
Deep, still purple-edged color. Quite rich to the nose, although youthfully zesty, it offers aromas of dark cherry, mulberry, blueberry and Italian bottled Marashino cherry, with rooty undercurrents and suggestions of roasted beet, sage, laurel and baking spice. It is plush and palate-coating in the mouth, where fresher flavors of red cherry, red currant, blood orange and blueberry counterpoint others of licorice root, bay leaf, cedar, hazelnut and baking spice, finishing with lingering notes of blueberry and black licorice. If likely two or three years from its full expression, it is truly satisfying already. 253 cases produced.
