2021 Copia “The Cure” Rhone Grape Blend, Willow Creek District, Paso Robles
San Francisco Wine Panel Score 98 Points
Remarkably similar to a great Chateaubeuf du Pape, this is a truly splendid drink right now. The aromas are a luxurious, focused medley of black raspberry, dark cherry bounce liqueur, black pepper, leather, dried rosemary and rooty spice, all poised above a streak of saline minerality. It is wonderfully generous on the palate, where dark, juicy fruit and exotic spice notes create a luxurious harmony that drenches the palate with flavor. Already a generous, seductive dinner wine, it will drink beautifully for the next five years at least. A blend of 45% Mourvedre, 28% Grenache and 27% Syrah, 380 cases produced.
