Genteel, rich and forthcoming, the aromas of this textbook Blanc de Blanc are as bright and attractive as are it’s tiny bubbles. Peaches and cream scents rise above a background of baked apple, nutmeg, hazelnut nougat and croissant to flesh-out the wine’s seductive aromas. It is a bit less intense yet more vibrant than expected in the mouth, where exuberant bubbles help create a plush textural layering that grabs some attention from flavors that are more mineral-dry. The finish is lingering and beautifully food-balanced, with notes of dried apple and peach joining creamy pastry flavors at the end. It is ready to enjoy and should remain just as delicious for several more years.
