2024 Joyce GSM Arroyo Seco
San Francisco Wine Panel Score 91+ Points
Youthfully reserved yet vivid and focused, the nose of this bright Rhone-style blend offers aromas of cranberry, lingonberry, dark red cherry, black peppercorn, red rose, and hints of bresaola and baking spice. Tension, zest and genteel tannins are notable on the palate, where the flavors promised by the nose are firmly stated, crisp and gain in appeal as the wine airs. The wine’s youth is more evident at the finish, yet despite this, it is already an appealing dinner wine that will show at its best currently with grilled pork or tomato-sauced dishes and the like. It could use another eighteen months or so to fully show all its has to offer. A blend of 36% Grenache, 45% Syrah and 1% Mourvedre.
