Focused and creamy-rich, the nose of this very attractive mountain Merlot offers well-evolved aromas of pomegranate syrup, hibiscus aqua fresca and cranberry sauce above a subtler background of nougat and mineral rich forest-floor scents. It is forthcoming in flavor and plush in texture in the mouth, with fine polished tannins and sharp minerality bringing a racy counterpoint to flavors that deftly parallel the nose. The finish is quite long and its flavors a delicious harmony of the fruits and spices promised by the aromas. Expect this already seductive wine to improve for at least another year or two. 180 cases produced.
