This lovely Pinot Noir is youthful yet it’s already quite complex and impressively elegant to the nose. The aromas are a pretty melange of strawberry, red raspberry boysenberry, rose petal, cedar, mace, tiger lily and baking spice scents, poised above a background of saline minerality and suggestions of cherry cough drops and fresh orange. It is less tense on the palate than expected, although tannins, minerality and fruit zest bring firmness and uplift to wine’s structure in contrast a notable impression of delicacy. It is already very tasty, especially in its long-lingering finish, although four years of improvement seems a reliable estimate of its future. 750 cases produced.
