Racy, elegant, focused and clearly dinner-balanced, this is textbook Washington Cabernet. The aromas are a medley of red plum compote, cranberry sauce, blueberry, lavender, cedar, tobacco, coffee bean and mace scents. On the palate the wine is sleek in texture and dominated by piquantly fresh red fruit flavors which are uplifted by polished tannins and a very long, food-worthy finish. Delicious right now, it should grow ever more so over the next eighteen to thirty months. Blended with 15% Cabernet Franc, 840 cases produced.
