This wine uses fruit from a vineyard long employed by Pahlmeyer for their Napa Valley Chardonnay, this wine proves as generous as expected. The forthcoming nose is dominated by scents of ripe peach and baked and fresh apple, freshened by others of lemon sorbet and mineral hints, this whole made more generous by a rather luxurious oak treatment. On the palate, the zest brings a welcome freshness to flavors of baked apple, lemon cream pie and hazelnut nougat. The aftertaste is extremely long and food-worthy although the wine is by no means fully mature. 300 cases produced.
