Rich, seductively ripe and attractively creamy, the nose of this immediately appealing Cabernet layers aromas of dark cherry, dark plum compote, mulberry, black current, mocha, hazelnut buttercream and a hint of clove. It is surprisingly plump on the palate, with almost heady richness to flavors dominated by plum, cherry, mulberry, fig, mocha and licorice root, all poised above a substantial background of creamy vanilla. Those palate-coating flavors linger well and carry through a dinner-worthy finish. Delicious already, it is likely to remain so for several more years.
