Attractively rich if still a trace youthfully shy in aroma, the nose of this fine Pinot Noir centers on scents of Bing cherry, Cherry Bounce liqueur, cherry pit, boysenberry, hazelnut, baking spice and touches of mace and mocha. On the palate, it proves rich in texture yet piquantly fresh and extremely long-lingering in flavor, with deep cherry and hazelnut nougat dominating dark undercurrents of mocha and foresty spice. Satisfying now, it should be even better in 18 months or so. Fruit sourced from the Perli Vineyard, 125 cases produced.
